Acupuncture for lower limbs paralysis in old dogs

Having moved to a new country a few months ago, I met one of my new neighbours.  He was walking down the street with his old dog.  The poor dog could hardly walk. He had to stop every two or three steps. We know this as meaning that. generally, the dog will not live much longer. I offered to try and help the poor dog with acupuncture.

Large dogs often die from lower limb paralysis. Most often it is a condition that is considered irremediable. This  type of paralysis occurs in old dogs, so it is a process related to ageing and therefore to ancestral energy. This dog is not the only one that I have successfully treated to date. Here is the treatment that I carried out.

I apply it both to dogs already affected and to animals showing signs of premature ageing of the hindquarters. Treatment for males and females is slightly different:
- For females: DM4, DM3, BL23, BL24, BL62
- For males: DM4, DM3, BL23, BL22, BL62

Finding these points on a dog should not be too complicated. You just need to locate the last pair of ribs and go up towards the spine. You are now at BL21 level. Then you just have to go down to find the points of the back that I indicated.
For BL62, see the illustration below.

Retain the needles.

All these points must be tonified and (if possible) it is very important to also apply moxa. At the very least, you should heat the needles with a lighter.
For long-haired animals, the fur must be cut, or the area shaved.
I obtained clear improvements in 1 to 2 sessions in dogs treated that way. I generally treat the animals once per week for the first two sessions, then once every two or three weeks afterwards.

If you are not an expert in animal acupuncture, I recommend that you always get help from the owner of the dog, who must hold the head of the animal or put a muzzle on him. Even an old dog can bite you if caught by surprise. In general, during the following sessions, the animal is more relaxed, but you never know so use caution.

Old dogs will always die, but by applying treatments such as these, we are able to extend their life a little but most importantly, we make it a lot more comfortable. In this particular case, The dog was able to stand up and walk more easily after the first session. As treatments continued, the better urinary control he regained. After a 2-3 sessions he was able to walk normally in the streets. He still walked slowly but no longer suffered from lower legs feebleness.
He died 6 months later, without pain, when his heart gave out, which was to be expected in such an old specimen of a large breed.
